Over 6,000 young Kenyans have signed up for the tech training programs offered by African Leadership International’s ALX. That’s right, our Kenyan youth are diving headfirst into expanding their tech skills and knowledge. Talk about enthusiasm!

But hold up, that’s not all. These 6,322 students are part of something even bigger. We’re talking about a whopping 32,000 new tech learners across eight African countries. It’s like a tech revolution, my friends! They’re all jumping into exciting programs like Data Science, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Salesforce Administrator, and ALX’s blended learning Software Engineering program. And guess what? More than half of them are crazy about data-related courses. Data Science and Data Analytics are the top choices. They’re digging deep into the world of data, my friends.

Fred Swaniker, the brain behind ALX Africa and CEO of African Leadership International, knows just how important Africa’s young talent is in filling the global tech skills gap. Africa is projected to be 40% of the world’s population by the end of the century, but right now, we only have 3% of the world’s software engineers. That’s a big gap to bridge, my friends. Swaniker believes that ALX can be the catalyst to develop millions of digital leaders from Africa in the next ten years. Now that’s what I call a vision!

And hold on tight because ALX Kenya has some exciting news. Not only did they enroll over 6,000 new students, but they’re also setting up new tech hubs in Nairobi. These hubs are like powerhouses, providing high-speed internet and stable electricity in cool co-working spaces. They’re tackling the infrastructural challenges that many students face. But that’s not all, my friends. These hubs are also places for collaboration, training, networking, and professional growth. It’s like a one-stop shop for all your tech needs. And here’s the twist—ALX’s programs will combine online learning with good old-fashioned in-person training. It’s the best of both worlds!

When the new learners joined ALX, they were welcomed with Karibu “Orientation” ceremonies. It’s like a big warm hug as they embark on their training journey. These lucky ones will receive training in highly sought-after skills that will set them up for success in the global digital economy. Get ready to launch those amazing careers, my friends!

ALX has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to build the largest pool of trained tech professionals in Africa. Together, they’re tackling the predicted worldwide tech talent shortage. By 2030, we’re looking at a shortfall of over 85 million people. It’s a big challenge, but hey, we’re up for it!

Since 2021, more than 85,000 learners have graduated from ALX, and guess what? Around 85% of them found employment within six months. Talk about success! But ALX doesn’t stop there. They believe in lifelong learning. So, graduates get access to ongoing programs, mentorship opportunities, and career pathways. It’s like a never-ending journey of growth and development.

Reeta Roy, the President of the Mastercard Foundation, knows the importance of collaboration with organizations like ALX. It’s all about achieving financial inclusion and education goals in Africa. The dream is to provide essential skills and training to our young population and make Africa a key player in solving global challenges. We’re in it together, folks!

As artificial intelligence takes over industries and shakes up the job market, soft skills are becoming just as important as technical expertise. Yeah, you heard that right. In an automated workplace, skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, communication, collaboration, and leadership are the real deal. According to some fancy research, 75% of job success today depends on these soft skills. So, ALX’s all-tech programs are designed to tackle the challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. They’re reimagining education to equip tech leaders and innovators with the hottest hard and soft skills needed to conquer the problems of the 21st century. Swaniker knows what’s up!

So, my Kenyan pals, it’s time to jump on the ALX bandwagon and embrace the tech revolution. Let’s dive into these amazing programs, fill that tech skills gap, and show the world what we’re made of. Get ready to unleash your potential and rock the digital world!
