Our lemon seedlings are scions of imported mother trees from Spain, Argentina and Italy.They bear a very juicy fruit, presenting a very smooth skin of intense yellow colour ,almost seedless, which fetches good prices on the local market. Lemons are high in vitamin C, fiber, and various beneficial plant compounds that lower cholesterol, among other positive effects on our health. Lemons support heart function, weight control, and good digestion.Its citric acid helps prevent kidney stones by increasing urine volume and its pH, creating a less favourable environment for kidney stone formation. Just a 1/2 cup (4 ounces or 125 ml) of lemon juice per day may provide enough citric acid to help prevent stone formation in people who have already had them.Lemon juice likewise helps balance uric acid levels because it makes the body more alkaline. It is recommended for gout.
