Description
Mt Longonot is a migratory route for game moving from Hell's Gate south towards Suswa and the Maasai Mara. The slopes of the mountain attract many grazing animals and climbers will often see Zebras, Buffalos, Gazelles and the rare Mountain reedbuck. Leopard tracks are often seen on the mountain pathways. Trekking - Mt Longonot (2100m) is an enjoyable way to spend a day. The views from the top across to Naivasha town and the Aberdares are sensational and the views of the crater within the mountain even more breathtaking. Once at the top, further two hours can be spent trekking round the crater rim with excellent views the entire way. After enjoying your picnic lunch and conquering the challenge, we will embark on our journey back to Nairobi.
