On our way, we pass through Kenya’s Rift Valley Escarpments which offer some of the most breath taking views.Maasai Mara is considered as Kenya’s & East Africa’s finest game sanctuary, it is here that the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place -The great annual Savannah Migration! Millions of wildebeest and zebras migrate from the Serengeti National Park to the Maasai Mara in search of water and pasture. The predators of the savannah (Lions, Cheetahs, Wild dogs, Jackals, Hyenas and Vultures) trail on their heels for a bountiful meal.Other than the spectacular migration, the Mara also offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily spot the Big Five Lions, Rhinos, Buffalos, Leopards and Elephants.The famous Maasai tribesmen also live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.Day 1: Friday 11th December 2015 Meeting point outside Steers opposite Jeevanjee Gardens at 0700hrs. A short briefing on the safari will follow before we proceed to Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a prompt departure at 0710hrs. We will drive through the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley making a brief stop over at Mai Mahiu view point to capture the escarpment. Lunch stop over at Narok at own cost. Game drive enroute to our camp arriving at 1700hrs. We set camp before dusk. Dinner, camp fire and overnight stay at the campsite (Dinner)In the night you can hear a chorus of different animal sounds as they communicate with each other in the darkness – What better way to experience bush by night?Day 2: Saturday 12th December 2015 After breakfast, we spend the better part of morning in search of Cats of Maasai mara. This Reserve forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti Eco-system. Picnic lunch will be served at the Mara River Hippo Point where Hippos and Crocodiles can be viewed basking at the river bed. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sun downer back at our campsite. Dinner, camp fire and overnight stay at the campsite (Breakfast, Picnic Lunch & Dinner)Day 3: Sunday 13th December 2015 After breakfast, break camp and exit the park for Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.
