The L800 Inkjet printer uses Ink Tank technology with refillable ink tubes. This printer integrates six ink tubes in a single cartridge housing that can be attached to or detached from the main body of the printer. There is one ink tube cartridge for each color: black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, and light magenta. The refilling can be done using ink bottles for all the six colors. The printer comes from the family of the Epson L100 and L200.This is the latest assault on an industry that hitherto has been dominated by HP’s Imaging and Printing division in the region. Samsung also launched a line of printers at the IT Expo last weekend while HP has been unveiling new printers with regularity including the 3-D printer it showcased earlier this year that takes pictures of an object from six different angles to give an image more depth and a three-dimensional feel.The L800 comes with what Epson calls Fast Ink Top-up technology with specially designed air-tight caps and filters that minimise ink wastage.
